Description : Original children's music composed & recorded by Lynne Cox. Her company, "Sea Zoo", is devoted to children's music & was Lynne's brainchild in the 80's as she happily composed the "Sea Creatures" series for her 2 small sons. The cd is a sampler of her children's collections: "Sea Zoo"; "Noah's Ark", and "Singing Rainbow" as well as her patriotic song commemorating 9/11, "The American Eagle". Includes also 2 classical piano selections from her "Favorite Classics" cd. Lynne Cox's credentials include Bachelor of Mus. Degree in piano performance, Certification in Public School Mus. k-12;teacher of music for 40 yrs; state finalist for the prestigious Sarah Belk Gambrell award for excellence in public school music in 2003; an Advanced Candidate for National Board Certification in Early Childhood Music; & has been chosen 1 of 22 teachers across the state as a Teacher Scholar for 4 different years, the most recent allowing her to research a paper she wrote entitled "Music As One of the 8 Mulitiple Intelligences". In this paper she relates how the musical intelligence literally saved her life. She has been married for 40 yrs and is the proud mother of 2 sons, ages 27 and 36; and one grandson, age 3. She has devoted her life to introducing music to children having taught music for 40 yrs. She is presently employed as music teacher in the largest primary public school in NC. & is a published composer for children with Alfred Pub. It is her sincere hope that these children's songs provide quality time with children & parents/grandparents as well as enhancing the child's musical intelligence & education. Her songs integrate many curriculum areas for the child.
